Attractive Alternatives

To come up with attractive alternatives to the usual crannies, think outside the box.

You can use a jam-packed bank of shelves that can be a blight-but nicely organized with color-coordinated boxes and mini chests of drawers.  It’s a blessing.  A cheerful bauble such as a teacup and saucer or faux flowers further enhances the tidy aesthetic.

Scour your supermarket for tins and cans with vibrant labels.  Repurpose the empties to stash art supplies for other doodads you’re trying to corral.

A bench with a comfy set-a-spell cushion on top, and cubbies below can neatly shelter stacks of still-wanted magazines within arm’s reach.

Scout flea markets for a timeworn trolley and turn it into a nifty portable gardening center you can use inside or out.  If you wish, freshen with spray paint before using.
