Rules for a Healthy Home

Boost your physical and mental well-being in five easy steps:

[ CHOOSE ALTERNATIVES TO PESTICIDES ]  There are someone who lived on 4,000 acres and spray absolutely nothing.  Prevent mice and bug infestations by closing up every crevice with steel mesh or copper-wire mesh.  Repel ants and mice with grade-A peppermint oil or coffee grinds.

[ GREEN YOUR CLEANERS ]  Look for the safest cleaning products;  avoid those with chlorine bleach and ammonia.  White vinegar can replace chlorine bleach.  We are developing our own line, which will be out in a few months, but right now, I think Bio-Kleen products are the healthiest.

[ FREE UP FLOOR SPACE ] Opt for area or throw rugs rather than wall-to-wall carpeting, which traps mold and mildew.

[ USE WATER-BASED PAINTS ] Look for those that have the lowest volatile organic compounds.

[ KEEP STRESS OUT OF THE HOUSE ] That’s paramount, above everything else.  When you’re  paralyzed.  You can make yourself sick.  Then it’s impossible to make any changes.
